The present study has to do with the architectural design concept of a retail space for showcasing and selling LED lighting products manufactured by a greek company. The objective has been for this design proposal to serve as a guide for all other retail stores of the same company through the creation of a special and recognisable type as regards the form of both its exterior and interior.

The main goal set has been to create a visual identity for the company's shop network by using the least amount of morphological and expressive means possible. The architectural study focuses on elements such as artificial lighting, placement of products, furnishings, colours as well as the use of signs and logos.

The storefront is articulated by two horizontal visual zones which extend all along the facade. The upper first zone is a large metallic surface painted a characteristic dark blue colour and is occupied by lighted signs. The second zone extends at a lower level and forms the base of the facade. The entrance to the store is at the centre of this zone while two display windows occupy the left and right side of the storefront both positioned symmetrically to the store entrance. The products are displayed on large white surfaces suspended from the walls and on white low display cases. The walls behind the display windows are painted dark grey and in combination with the grey metallic sheets covering the facade create a neutral background thus making it easier for the products displayed to catch the passer-by's eye.

Interior space is articulated by various theme zones. There is a visual differentiation of each theme zone which in turn creates a variety of forms and offers spatial quality to the interior space. Colour is also used as a tool for visually organising space. The ceiling is conceived as a fundamental element of the design proposal and is formed in a way so as to assist in highlighting products and offer proper lighting to the space.
