The present study has to do with the design of a small tourist accommodation complex on the edge of Eptalofos village in Fokida, Greece. The available site, situated on a steep hill, on the one hand offers a magnificent panoramic view of the local area, but on the other hand it inserts the challenge of successfully integrating the new building with the landscape. The main goal set in advance for this architectural proposal, has been  the design of the new building complex in a way that will not disrupt the continuity of its surroundings. This has been achieved by making extensive use of stone masonry and pitched roofs, as well as carefully positioning the new buildings and designing new paved paths and steps by taking the sloping ground into serious consideration.

The proposed new configuration takes advantage of the adjacent public street. Entrance to the complex is made through a suitably formed flat area at the lowest level of the site, offering easy access and parking to the vehicles. This small tourist resort complex can fully operate throughout the year. In the core of this new small village stands the restaurant, a simple structure accompanied by a small paved area serving both the guests of the complex as well as visitors from surrounding areas.

Accommodation units have been placed at the highest and more privileged areas of the site. There are seven apartments in total, grouped according to two different unit types. The first unit type includes ground floor two-bed apartments, while the second type includes two-storey apartments that can accommodate up to four guests. Every unit has its own balcony which helps guests enjoy a panoramic view of the landscape and encourages outdoor living.
